Chichen Itza and Cenote Ik-Kil
Chichen Itza - One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chichen Itza is a magnificent display of Mayan culture and the ceremonial center of the Yucatán.
The highlight of Chichen Itza is the Kukulkan Pyramid, known as "El Castillo", 79 feet (24 meters) high of steep pyramid construction.
Other impressive buildings at Chichen Itza are: the Temple of the Warriors, the Thousand Columns, and the Platform of Venus, the Tzompantli (the Ball Court) and El Caracol (the Observatory).
The Cenote Sagrado is another natural site at Chichen Itza, featuring a sinkhole gateway into an underground body of water 197 feet (60 meters) in diameter.
Cenote Ik-kil, The Cenote Ik Kil is another natural site close to Chichen Itza, featuring a sinkhole gateway into an underground body of water, having a diameter of 197 feet (60 meters and) a depth of 40 meters, is a beautiful cenote which was considered sacred by the Mayans; many prehispanic jewels and artifacts were found here, showing proof of the Mayan sacrifices.
6:00 - 6:45 - Healthy All-you-can-eat Breakfast Buffet.
6:45 - Departure from the Lodge.
9:00 - Arrival at Chichen Itza, one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
9:00 - 12:30 - Chichen Itza - English/Spanish guided tour of a magnificent Wonder of the World; don't forget your camera!
12:30 - 13:30 - Have a delicious and traditional Buffet Lunch at Cenote Ik-Kil.
13:30 - 15:30 - After lunch, you will have all afternoon to have a refreshing swim at Cenote Ik-Kil, surrounded by ample gardens and swimming pool.
15:30 - Departure from Cenote Ik Kil.
18:00 - Arrival back to the Lodge.
18:00 - All-you-can-eat Dinner Buffet.

Wear light clothing: shorts are very appropriate, comfortable shoes; bring your swim suit, towel, cap, sun glasses, extra clothes, biodegradable sunscreen, insect repellent, some extra cash. Don't forget your camera!
