Holbox

Hol-Box is the best keep secret fishing island in Quintana Roo, 28 miles long and 1.5 miles wide.
It is really a paradise on earth.
There are no paved roads on Hol-Box; everything is maintained as in the old times.
The beaches are just beautiful: white, powder sand alongside the emerald/turquoise and pristine water of the Caribbean Ocean.
At Hol-Box, you will feel in perfect harmony with nature.

You will have a boat ride to the small Island of Yalahou, where the Yalahou Cenote is, known as the "Fountain of Youth".
You will relax with the sound of birds, continuing to Passion Island where you will find several bird species, or you can watch crocodiles and flamingoes on the mangrove banks.
From May to September, you can swim with whale sharks, the totally inoffensive 13 ton world’s largest fish.
You must experience this magnificent spectacle of the whale sharks to believe it. This is a one to two hour boat tour, giving you an opportunity to also watch the giant manta ray.
You will also be able to snorkel at Cuevones Reef, observing lobster, squid, sea turtles, octopus and a great variety of other reef creatures.
